This award is presented for her career-long dedication to the Human-Computer Interaction community.
At the ACM CHI 2014 conference in Toronto, Wendy Mackay received the ACM SIGCHI Lifetime Service Award for her career-long dedication to the Human-Computer Interaction community and its largest interest group, ACM SIGCHI.
 
Among many other things, Wendy co-founded the first SIGCHI local SIG, Greater Boston SIGCHI, and has served on every executive position of ACM SIGCHI, including as Chair, and on many ACM boards.
 
Last year she chaired the record-breaking ACM CHI 2013 in Paris (http://chi2013.acm.org), with 3500 attendees and more than 1000 presentations.

Yannis Manoussakis passed away

We have just learned of the death of Yannis Manoussakis, Professor at the University of Paris-Saclay, on Saturday June 5.

He was the leader of the GALaC team and had been for many years director of the LRI, we lose a friend and a dear colleague.
