Résumé :
Synopsis:
Wireless body sensor networks provide an indispensable service to healthcare delivery in support of clinical information systems. It realizes personalized and connected healthcare solutions through
ubiquitous caregiver-patient connectivity for improved clinical efficiency and patient safety at the point of care. In this talk we introduce how wireless body sensor network (WBSN) technologies can be applied in the healthcare environments. In the first part of the talk, we elaborate the healthcare applications and services using WBSNs. The advantages of applying WBSNs over existing systems are illustrated through case studies. In the second part of the talk, we present our research activities of WBSN platform for reliable and energy-efficient healthcare data delivery.
Biography:
Dr. Yu Ge Julia is now Scientist in the Institute for Infocomm Research
(I2R), A-Star, Singapore. She received her MEng and PhD degrees from National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, all in wireless communication networks area. She joined I2R in 2001 and has been leading the research team in the area of wireless body sensor networks for healthcare. Her research interests are transmission and sensing technologies in wireless communication networks for end-to-end quality of care provisioning in healthcare.
